Job Board - The GDS Job Board allows us to finally point our consumers to a web site where they can see which fire & security companies are currently hiring. This is a question we get asked almost daily by project managers, technicians and even CAD operators. We also direct the occasional building owner or tenant who is looking for a new

Office Relocation - Our office has relocated to the following address:
GDS Design Group - Our company name has changed better reflect our changing core business. Permitting is only about half of our business now. Both GDS Permitting and GDS Designs Group are our legal company names.
Electric Lock Permitting - GDS creates about 600-700 electric lock permits each year. We are very familiar with the local Houston electric lock codes and can get your plans permitted very fast.
Harris County Electric Lock Permitting - Effective March 1, 2007 Harris County requires fire alarms and electric locks to be permitted.
As-Built Drawings - GDS can create as-built or submittal drawings for security, fire alarm, voice&data and just about anything else. We recently added the as-built price list to the web site.
Fire Alarm Drawings - GDS now has a NICET lll fire alarm planner who can both design and stamp fire alarm plans. We recently added the fire alarm price list to the web site.
New Houston Building Code 2008 - The City of Houston is expected to adopt the 2006 IBC soon. GDS is expected to have some amount of input with respect to electric lock codes that will be adopted by the City of Houston. As soon as the new code is available, all electric lock references will be on the web site.
Color Scanning - Inspected and signed electric lock plans are scanned for free and posted to a secure web site for all GDS customers. This year we upgraded to a large format color scanner.
Signage - Electric lock signage is now available from GDS! Exit button signs are $20 and ADA compliant fire pull signs are $40.
